A Samurai Game® one day event, open to the public, will take place in Amsterdam Zuidas on Friday 22nd of November 2024 (exact location to be announced), delivered by certified Samurai Game® facilitator, Lawrence Warry. Calling for enthusiastic people, wishing to develop their leadership and team-participation skills, of varying backgrounds and interests, you are welcome to participate in this event.
Participants of all walks of life come to these public games and one never really knows how many people will turn up and what kind of group will materialise on the day of the game. Such public games are therefore more of a challenge to set up, and, more diverse and serendipitous than the organised private corporate/company games. People come often not knowing what they are getting into. It does require a certain level of trust to step over the line of curiosity and discovery to try the game. We are also discovering that previous players are coming back for a new experience and we notice that not one game experience is the same as the other therefore making each time one joins a unique occasion.
Whether you are an Individual seeking personal growth/self-knowledge or a team manager/leader seeking improved team bonding and improved communication and leadership in your company, the Samurai Game® is powerfully effective to reach those goals. At the core of this fun game are some serious principles of Jungian psychology which build a foundation to provide the potential for a transformational process to the individual and/or team.
About the facilitator: Since 2013, Lawrence has built a vast knowledge of what is required to get the maximum learning out of the game, having delivered as many as 50 such events at different locations around the world. Lawrence also has a lengthy background in martial arts (namely, the Japanese martial art of Aikido in which he is currently a 5th dan instructor in The Netherlands). This experience gives useful insights into the role of the ancient Japanese samurai warrior’s character.
A little info about the game: Seeing the powerful and impactful changes the Samurai Game® has brought to so many peoples’ lives in games he delivered in The Netherlands, Bulgaria and Switzerland, Lawrence is ready and willing to deliver his facilitation service to your company or organisation. Each event is organised with the highest safety standards taken into consideration. Although the games involve one-on-one challenges between individuals of two teams, the challenges never require to push over the physical/mental limits and people of all fitness levels may join. The games require the minimum of equipment and the maximum of your inner resource of courage and strength to face up to the challenges. The challenges are designed to prompt people to (amongst other things): reflect on how they respond to stress; face the dilemma between (and develop the art of balancing) honour for the team and honour for the self; pay attention and be in the present moment.
You can reach Lawrence to enquire about the public event taking place on Friday 22nd of November 2024 via the website: www.shinyuembody.org or email: shinyu.leadership@gmail.com.
